The yondr pouch is considered by some to be an infringement on our rights as citizens. An insult to our very autonomy as sentient creatures with the capability of thought. In addition to this it poses an incredible safety risk. There have been many school shooting threats as well as one student being caught with a firearm last year alone at AHS. However, the school board deems it necessary Not to improve security, Not to invest in some way to help the troubled youth, but to simply treat the symptoms rather than the disease, if it can be considered treatment at all. The school’s students are deserving of safety and security. This, however, is something the yondr pouches strip them of rather than providing. And thus they should be retired by the school board. Used no longer to silence and oppress the teenagers of Amsterdam High School. If we do not take back our right to freedom and security as citizens of the United States of America, if we do not fight for our liberty, for our Safety, we will never acquire it. Now is the time, Students of Amsterdam, We must push back. There is No guarantee that this will secure what we seek, however, we will not simply give In. We will not simply give Up. We are resilient, We are Resistant, We are strong, We are The students Of AHS. And while independently we have little merit in our say, Together, we just may have an impact.
