As comics and movie fans, we want to see our favorites -- and ourselves -- represented in the fabulous movie universes Marvel has created from some of our most loved series. We see the sales figures, too, and the crowds at SDCC, NYCC, and our local comic shops, so we know this won't come as a shock: Marvel's established and potential audiences aren't (and aren't interested in) 100% white dudes.

So where is our Black Widow solo movie? We want Natasha Romanov to headline her own story instead of always supporting other characters in theirs. We're excited about the great opportunities for women and characters of color in the upcoming Marvel TV series, but when do we get to see ourselves on the big screen, too?

We want to see more of Marvel's women and characters of color leading the movies, and like a lot of weekend audiences who chose Scarlett over The Rock, we're ready to put our money where our mouths are, too!
