Dear YDE School Administration,

We, the undersigned parents, are asking the school to take immediate action to improve the quality, nutrition and variety of our school lunch program.

Parents across different grades consistently report the same concern: many of our children will not eat the lunches being served and are coming home hungry. Concerns about the quality and menu have been raised numerous times, yet the problem continues.

A nutritious, enjoyable lunch is essential to keeping children healthy, focused and productive throughout the school day. Our school strives to be a leader in education, and we believe the same high standard should apply to the food our children are served.

Today, more than ever, schools around the world are placing greater emphasis on fresh ingredients, balanced nutrition, quality and variety. We should take inspiration from what works and make a real effort to improve our program.

We respectfully ask the school to take this matter seriously and establish an immediate course of action: review the current menu and catering provider, gather feedback from parents and students, evaluate better alternatives, and provide parents with a clear timeline for implementing improvements.

We all care deeply about our school and simply believe we can—and should—do better for our children.
