We believe the Residents of Bolton deserve a referendum and the only way this can take place is by an a Act of Parliament. Many residents of Bolton feel disillusioned with a Manchester Mayoral leadership and never wished to be a part of Greater Manchester. No referendum was given leaving  many Bolton residents feeling that they were taken out of Lancashire in the 1974 against their will when Bolton was absorbed in to Greater Manchester and wish to return to being governed by Lancashire.
