Change the WWE Divas Championship back to the Women's Championship
The Issue
For many years now I've been a fan of WWE. Especially it's Women's Division. For years growing up, I saw the likes of Lita, Trish Stratus, Jazz, Victoria, Molly Holly and many others become the WWE Women's Champion. During this time the Women's Division was taken very seriously. So much that Lita and Trish Stratus main evented RAW for the Women's Title. The crowd loved it!! The story of built up frustration and hate between the two characters was there. The women had their own personalities. Some of the female talent around this time, was bigger than some of the male Superstars.
Fast forward to 2015 and were at the midst of this "Divas Revolution". When it should be titled the "Women's Revolution". The Divas of today are not taken serious enough by fans, because the WWE isn't taking their female talents serious enough. The fans just really don't know who to cheer for anymore. The stories and the personalities are just not there.
Furthermore the "Divas Championship" is not taken serious by fans. All I see any of the fans talking about is how its a big pink butterfly or the Butterfly belt. When fans see the "Divas" come on TV its still known as a "Bathroom Break". In NXT the women are competing for the NXT "Women's Championship". Where fans are more into the matches and they aren't referred to as Divas or Women's Wrestlers...these women are just referred to as WRESTLERS!!
The term "Diva" can also refer to a woman with a reputation for being temperamental or difficult to please. Which is something I know people would NOT want their young daughters aspire to be. In show business, having a "diva attitude" implies someone who is self-important or hard to work with. Someone needs to realize that the WWE needs to get rid of the term "DIVA" once and for all!!
PLEASE BRING BACK THE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP!! GIVE THE WOMEN BETTER STORYLINES AND FOCUS MORE ON THEIR WRESTLING CAPABILITY RATHER THAN JUST THEIR LOOKS!! #GIVEWOMENACHANCE
THE LONGER WE KEEP THIS "DIVA" TERM, THE "DIVAS DIVISION", AND THE "DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP" NOONE IS GOING TO TAKE THESE WOMEN SERIOUS ENOUGH!! SO AGAIN WWE PLEASE BRING BACK YOUR "WOMEN'S DIVISION" AND YOUR "WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP"!!
