First of all WWE would not be the same without Mike Chioda! If you’re a fan of wrestling then and more importantly WWE then you will know the name chioda it’s synonymous with wrestling history.

He was the referee for matches such as Triple H vs. Vince McMahon (Armageddon 1999). Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels (Wrestlemania 14) where he took a Michael’s bum to the face!. The Rock vs. Stone Cold (Wrestlemania 15). Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar (Wrestlemania 19). Lesnar vs. The Big Show (when the ring broke and everyone was in shock). That’s just a few legendary moments!! 

After 9/11 he was the first to wear the American flag patch on his sleeve and when I started training to be a referee myself he was who I’d study because he just gives it everything from start to finish, I remember studying the way he’d slap the mat as if he was chopping it, the way he’d react after a 2 count and how he’d check choke holds and when someone got chopped he’d make facial expressions like they’d just chopped him. It’s just little things some fans don’t notice that make him great and a real credit to a match, I remember meeting him this one time and he told me not to keep at it because if you have a real passion for it then it shows and it shows with him.
