Wrongfully Banned from PlayStation

To whom this may concern,

A few months ago I turned my playstation on and got a message that my account was banned. I was unsure why, so I called PS support and got no answer, was told that I could file an appeal and wait for the decision. I started to fill it out and was unsure what to put and also it does not let you write a whole lot to explain anything. So I called support again and they could not tell me why I was banned for life, so I really couldn’t put much down on the appeal.

Here is what I know, Back in March my wife and I lived in Indiana, we got a call from our nieces and nephews stating that they needed help because their parents were having sever problems and did not take care of the kids at all. So we sold our Harley for dirt cheap to come back to NY to help them. They had nothing, no internet, no gaming systems, no TV to watch, So after two weeks of cleaning my wife and I got the house in better shape. We then had internet turned on and I put my playstation in the room I was in. Then the kids wanted to play it all the time. So my wife said why not put it in the living room and when we go back to Indiana we can grab her playstation and put it in our room for us to play. So we did that. 

Then came the birthday party and graduation party for my wife’s daughter and my daughter. So for like 5 days we lots of kids, teens and adults over. Since all the parents wanted to do was sit in their bedroom with no one really watching what was going on in the living room. I been outside cooking on the grill, my wife was doing salads and other stuff.

Our nephew came outside and said that my playstation plus expired. So I gave one of the adults the ok to renew it. The later on the same nephew wanted to play minecraft, so I told him he could download the demo. 

After this I have no idea what went on, As I am disabled, been with playstation since ps one and bought every system since then, only one is the ps5 which I have not been lucky enough to get yet. I stream on you tube, and twitch all the time. This is how I supplement my income in order to do give aways and buy additional equipment to make streaming better. So the next morning I went to sign on and get going with my normal fortnitestream and it said I was banned. This leading to my beginning paragraph. I have checked my emails and everything before calling support, I have never received any message on a ban at all. 

I tried to tell them that I will remove my playstation from the livingroom and put it back in my room and password it so nobody could use my system again without me being there to supervise what was going on. They said they could not do anything as I violated the TOS. I explained to them that I did not do anything wrong, That I am a grown 46 year old man that enjoys playing fortnite and call of duty. I have bought most of my games on digital which I don’t have access to anymore, I just renewed my ps plus, I am losing my supplemental income. 

In the time I started with the ps one, 2, 3, 4 I have never in my life ever received a single warning, or violation ever. Even as I am writing this letter to you I still do not know what was done wrong on my account beside a violation of TOS. So I do not even know where to go because support will not help me. I tried to contact ps Europe as some members on the forum told me to contact them as they are a bit more understanding and will try to help out the best they can. So I wrote them and received a reply back, unfortunately they want me to call them, well I cant make international calls on my plan as I mention I am disabled and have limited income so have to have the basic of all plans. So my only option was to write this letter and pray that it will not fall on deaf ears and that someone on the other end of this would be able to help me get my account back so I can continue doing what I love doing the most gaming. I know you could say well switch to xbox or something else, I could, all my older kids play xbox, but I have been with PS since the beginning, I do not want to go anywhere else, I have so much money into games, digital downloads, PS plus and all the games I downloaded every month, headsets, controllers, elgato, PC for streaming from the PS. 

What I can say is that I am truly sorry for whatever TOS was violated on my system. I thought I was being a good uncle and letting the kids and friends use my system since they didn’t have anything. I guess the old saying the good guy always finishes last is really the case here. 

What I can promise is that I have removed the system from the kids living room and it is now in my room, I have put a password on it and vow to not let anyone use my system without proper supervision. Again I have never in my gaming life received a warning not now or ever and to be permanently banned I feel is a little unjust. I would accept a temporary suspension as I take fault for not supervising what was going on with my system and I will own that and take punishment for that. But please don’t ban me for life for something I did not do. I have nothing else to do but to play games and have fun with my community that I have worked so long to build. 

Any assistance would be a blessing, Again I apologize for what has happened and vow to never let it happen again!

I have sent this to the ceo and president of Sony and have yet received any message in return which is why I am posting here hoping someone will see it.
