Axolotls are an adorable species of salamander that can only be found in the lake complex of Xochimilco, and they are critically endangered with only 1,000 left in the wild, and my goal is to convince the World Wildlife Fund to protect them, and stabilize their population. If the Mexican Axolotl were to become extinct, changes would occur in its food chain. Large fish and birds are the most common predators of the Mexican Axolotl. If the Axolotl where to die out, these animals would become endangered due to starvation for not having as much to eat.
