Taekwondo uniform is called "Dobok", deriving from the Korean words Do(way) and Bok(clothing). Taekwondo practitioners begin their journey by wearing a white Dobok with white belt. The white uniform represented the values of purity, avoidance of ego, and simplicity. It gave no outward indication of social class so that all students began as equals. Hence the traditional white uniform in modern day sport of Taekwondo is representing the traditional values of Taekwondo Martial Art. 

At 2019 World Taekwondo Championships held in Manchester, UK  WT (World Taekwondo) demonstrated a new uniform concept, with "skin tight" leggings and tops of different colours. As I've spoken to numerous Taekwondo athletes, coaches and practitioners from around the world everyone seems to dislike the new concept as it drifts away from the traditional Dobok, losing it's values. 

I'd like as many people as possible to have a say in this matter and let WT know that we would like to keep the traditional values of Dobok in modern day sport of Taekwondo.
