Out of all of the local papers to close, World Media Enterprises chose a 143 year old institution serving well over 400,000 residents in Prince William County Virginia. For many residents, this is the only truly unbiased source of news affecting our community.  From local politics, events, and severe weather warnings to local school information, lost pet notices and crime news, there has been only one merged news source consistent and there for Prince William County residents.

By keeping smaller community and military papers around and choosing to shutter ours, you've placed a priority on some communities over others.  PWC is one of the largest and most diverse counties in the area and includes readers from places like Stafford, Triangle, Quantico, even as you've decided to keep their newspapers afloat.  As even larger newspapers around the globe close their doors, smaller sources will become even more vital to the health of a community.  Please help us keep jobs and our local paper and/or online source InsideNOVA, around!  Please listen to the residents and your own employees...the editors and reporters who have continued the traditional practice of real journalism without the spin.  They keep us informed, safe, and give regular folk a voice.
