Declare the 10th of March as Dr. Stella Adadevoh Day

Declare the 10th of March as Dr. Stella Adadevoh Day
The Issue
5 years ago, Nigeria lost an amazing woman. Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh passed away on August 19th from the Ebola virus after contracting it while treating Mr. Patrick Sawyer, who also died from the disease in Nigeria.
Dr. Adadevoh's sacrifice prevented a national or even global catastrophe. If not for her brilliance and expertise, Mr. Sawyer would have gone undiagnosed and would have been released into the public. However, as soon as Dr. Adadevoh noticed his symptoms, she refused to allow Mr. Sawyer leave First Consultant Hospital even when the Liberian Ambassador pressured her to release him.
In 2014 I created a petition for her to be honored with a National Posthumous Award. However, over the years, I have come to the realization that a physical award is not enough to honor the memory of Dr. Adadevoh and the sacrifice she made for all Nigerians and the world.
That is why I am creating this new petition to request that the 10th of March be dedicated to Dr. Adadevoh. Her memory and sacrifice deserves to be honored so that her history is not forgotten. Her legacy should be taught to the children of all generations. She deserves to be honored along with all the other great people who made sacrifices for the greater good of humanity.
Please sign this petition so we can properly honor the life and memory of Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh.
