The refugees in Idib, Syria, in their makeshift camps, have suffered displacement, bombs, hunger and deprivation. Now they face Covid 19 with the barest minimum of water or medical supplies and are bereft of the most basic essentials. CNN stated, (26 Mar), that more than 100,000 could die once the virus reaches these camps. Idib has only 1.4 doctors per 10,000 people! CNN reports: "The World Health Organization has said that it will also deliver some testing kits to opposition-held Syria. So far, these have not arrived, according to medical professionals in the enclave."

The World Health Organisation must intervene to avoid the horrors of yet another potential human tragedy. Let us pray that this petition may be heeded by the WHO.
