ACESC, Assess America's Nationally Accredited Universities

ACESC, Assess America's Nationally Accredited Universities
The Issue
We, the students of DEAC accredited schools, like Quantic, are petitioning the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) to include the Quantic School of Business and Technology and all nationally accredited universities listed by the U.S. Department of Education to the list of institutions which they are assessing.
Quantic is an institution accredited by the Distance Education Accreditation Commission (DEAC) and officially listed by the United States Department of Education. Its degrees are therefore legit and the programs offered by Quantic meet the standards for higher, post-secondary education. And so do the schools listed by the U.S. Department of Education.
ACESC members like WES are well-known, widely accepted organizations that assess degrees people earned in many different countries, among others in the United States. A degree assessment from ACESC is well recognized. When applying for another school or for immigration, an assessment of a foreign degree is often required and ACESC members are the only ones who are accepted by the Canadian CIC.
As Quantic alumni, who started the petition, we are building our career based on applied knowledge from our MBA education. We are students from many different countries around the world. As those, we are also looking to further improve and build our careers on a globalized labor market. With the limitations coming from an exclusion/lacking coverage of DEAC-accredited institutions our chances are unfairly limited in times of globalization and increasing labor mobility. Schools with national accreditation should be treated equally to regionally accredited schools.
We are asking ACESC to dignify our academic achievements by adding the schools with accreditation and listing by the U.S. Department of Education to the list of institutions which are being assessed.
