Greensboro City Council continues to attack homeless and working class folks with discriminatory ordinances. The Working-class and Homeless Organizing Alliance (WHOA) is calling for a boycott of businesses that have come out in support of these anti-homeless bills. We are calling on these businesses to publicly support the following demands and will continue the boycott until they do so.

-We demand that City Council repeal all “aggressive solicitation,” panhandling, and anti-homeless ordinances.
-We demand that the City Council creates a Poverty Commission, with more than 50% of those involved being under the poverty line
-We demand that City Council enacts a ‘Homeless Bill of Rights’, like the one enacted in Duluth, MN or, even better one that takes the broad strokes from that and customizes it for Greensboro.
-We demand that all Greensboro residents have their right to public space and more importantly the right to exist.
-We demand a living wage of at least $15/hr for all Greensboro residents.
-We demand that the City of Greensboro establish an eviction legal defense fund for all residents facing eviction.

We call on all Greensboro residents to boycott the following businesses that have supported these ordinances:
