Eastern Michigan is a college in Michigan. They were once the Hurons, but that was deemed offensive and they were changed to the eagles. Their name is Eastern Michigan University. So why is their mascot an eagle, when their initials are EMU, another mighty bird? This petition will prove to officials at EMU that their mascot should be an emu instead of an eagle.
