Work Shouldn't be Taxed More Than Wealth - Equal Tax Act (H.R.5336)

Work Shouldn't be Taxed More Than Wealth - Equal Tax Act (H.R.5336)
The Issue
Do you ever wonder why the rich keep getting richer, and the middle class is shrinking?
The biggest way they're able to continue building wealth is by making money through investments, real estate, and businesses, and passing wealth through gifts, inheritance, trusts, and real estate exchanges.
And out of all the ways people make money, these methods have the least amount of taxes places on them, or none at all. There's no coincidence here, these policies and tax loopholes have been planned and made over years, to keep the wealthy wealthy. So, how can you help to counteract this amassing of wealth?
The Equal Tax Act helps counter these loopholes by limiting special low tax rates to people earning under $1 million per year and treating large gifts and inheritances as taxable events. This prevents wealthy individuals from avoiding taxes by passing assets across generations without paying what is owed. At the same time, the Act protects middle-class families, family farms, and small businesses by exempting the first $1 million in gains and allowing taxes to be paid over time.
If this Act is passed, it'll be a major step towards wealth equality. But in order for this to happen, we need to speak up.
