Eva Lacey started this petition to Woolworths and

Palm oil is a real life problem. It’s something that is taking so many lives of innocent creatures that we ourselves descend from. Orangutans.

Simple products in the supermarket that have palm oil in them, are shadily disguised as “Vegetable oil”. It’s so important that us, as fellow consumers, know that there is either stable, or unstable palm oil in the product that you are buying.

We already have so many problems on this earth, but palm oil is destroying a beautiful and unique species. Do we really want to be the murderers?

When going to the supermarket, have you really ever checked if what you are buying has palm oil in it? I know that I try to, but with all the injustice, how can you truly know that the palm oil is not covered up by a different term? If there was large fluorescent stickers on the products then you would be able to convince these companies to stop using unsafe palm oil.

Over 50% of the products in the supermarket have unstable palm oil in them. Palm oil isn’t the problem here, it’s how this product gets produced and harvested. Cutting down countless trees and valleys that are of orangutans homes, and ruthlessly making palm oil plantations. Yes, palm oil provides a longer lasting product, and that is why so many companies are connected with this system, but it comes with a deadly price. The destruction of so much nature.

But there is hope. If you sign this petition now we will convince Woolworths and Coles to put these warnings on the merchandise they are selling, stating if this is bio-diversely unsafe palm oil, or 100% approved by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil). Help us! Sign this petition now to save this terribly endangered species.
