Australian babies - my 18 month old little girl included - are being put at risk whilst Woolies profits from huge sales of baby formula via the international black market.

I haven’t seen one tin of baby food in my local Woolworth’s for five months - whilst people are bulk buying of formula for sales in China and online. The Herald Sun reports that the formula is being sold online for up to $150!

The baby formula shortage is happening across the country. Other stores - including Coles and pharmacies - have already put a limit on sales to prevent this from happening. Yet Woolies continues to let Australian babies go hungry.

Sales limits will help short term - but the Australian Government needs to step in and make sure Australian babies are put before overseas profiteering via the international black market.
