Final meeting tonight at 7pm – Copper Ridge 9th Development

30 Nov 2022

Tonight at 7pm at Woodbury City Hall - Show up and show the City Council that you care about this project.  THEY will either pass or reject this project. We voted for these people to represent us. Now more than ever, we need to let them know where we stand on the issue. We need to pack the house so that they physically SEE that people care enough to give an hour or two of their time and force them to SEE voters faces.

We all know, actions speak louder than words.

  • Mark your Calendars
  • Invite friends, family, and other concerned neighbors
  • SHOW UP this evening Nov 30th at 7p, Woodbury City Hall
  • You don't have to speak, just be present and let’s pack the house!

As you know, this build directly impacts our most vulnerable demographic, our children.

Our schools continue to be overburdened with the continuous building and the density they are allowed to be built at. This forces the district to re-draw lines which adversely affects the cognitive and social development of our children. It also inhibits our children from forming meaningful, long-term relationships which impacts them for their entire lives. This has also been proven to reduce life span when it happens over and over again. Research supports that up to 30% of these students will face cognitive delays, exhibit social distress, delay social growth, adversely impact test scores. This is all due to the instability in their scholastic lives. We cannot continue to put the carriage in front of the horse. Woodbury city code is very clear in stating that EXISTING infrastructure, where schools are clearly outlined, must be able to absorb the additional demand.

The latest school referendum stated that 15 school are operating over capacity, a problem that is exacerbated every time building plans go unchecked.

This is just one of the many reasons we need to stop this high-density build.

It comes down to this meeting – We can’t stress enough how important your support will be during this time as the City Council will be on making the final decision.  They were voted in, by all of you, to represent us. We need to let them know where we stand on the issue.

Come out and show your support to keep this a low-density neighborhood – as it was always intended to be.

This meeting will be the LAST meeting on this project and it all comes down to tonight at 7pm - at the Woodbury City Hall in the City Council Chambers on the second floor, which is located at 8301 Valley Creek Road.

I look forward to seeing you there!
