As COVID-19 spreads to conflict-affected areas, the pandemic creates new challenges for already strained health systems and social relations. Poverty, conflict, social norms and gender discrimination make women more vulnerable to contracting COVID-19. I hope this petition would promote awareness regarding women empowerment amidst the pandemic. I also hope that women will use their voice to share their knowledge and wisdom to individuals who experienced the same issues. Therefore, empowering women during this period can be a way to express the love and support to women in our society.

With the use of this petition, it will grants us instant accessibility and connectivity, we’re able to learn, grow, and understand things much quicker than before regarding the important issues about women’s rights. Moreover, we’re no longer afraid to share our stories of our own self-described detriments. Through awareness and social media presence, we’re taking strides to positively change public perception and empower those who live with the conditions that afflict them especially women. Therefore, this campaign will not only impact me, my family, friends but also the whole community.
