The WJCC school board plans to make a 10% budget reduction and they’re going to remove most after school actives including fine arts and middle school athletics- possibly even high school as well.

Some of the things that would be impacted:

increase class size in most grade levels as a result of reduced staff (already full classes- where would we sit? And they want us to social distance, genuinely confused).

Decrease course offerings- including AP classes

combination of middle and high school bus routes.

The school division has some money saved to repair the schools incase there is a natural disaster- like a hurricane- we haven't had major storms that have caused major, if any, damage to WJCC buildings. If they didn’t consider using that money for a pandemic, then they should re-evaluate what they think of as a disaster.
