If you’ve ever walked into one of the bathrooms at Jamestown High School, you know the struggle of finding a stall or urinal that is both clean and functional. It’s hard to find one that has a dry floor, a working lock, or a clean toilet. After using the facilities, the struggle continues with empty soap dispensers, dysfunctional water faucets, and broken hand dryers. We should not have to face these struggles day after day. The school system needs to provide for its students’ health and wellbeing - and that includes sanitary and operational bathrooms.  

We propose that the WJCC School Board allocate funds to fix structural issues in the bathrooms. We need functional toilets, locks, and other appliances. These are simple fixes that will vastly improve the quality of bathrooms at Jamestown High School.
