Withdraw CDC & Veterans Administration Opioid Prescription Guidelines Without Replacement

Withdraw CDC & Veterans Administration Opioid Prescription Guidelines Without Replacement

The Issue

I am asking everyone even non chronic pain patients to sign my petition well our the chronic pain community’s petition to withdraw the cdc and veterans administration  from opioid prescriptions

As chronic pain sufferers, my twin and I have experienced firsthand the limitations of current CDC guidelines on pain management and how they also took our anxiety medication away. We have to choose between our mental health medication and the fact that our pain medication was dramatically tapered to a lower dose. even though we were on these medications before the 2016 and new updated law on opioid prescribing.in my case, long-acting pain medication has been completely withdrawn. This issue is not just personal for us but also for our children who share our condition but are denied treatment due to their young age.

The current system treats chronic pain patients like addicts rather than patients in need of care. I've experienced this stigmatization during hospital visits where I was left in an unlit room without a call light or pillow for hours - an experience reminiscent of a drunk tank rather than a healthcare facility.

We urge the reform of CDC guidelines to allow physicians the freedom to prescribe above 90 MME per day when necessary, taking into account individual body chemistry and genetics. Doctors should be able to treat their patients as they see fit without fear of legal repercussions.

Furthermore, we request that advising doctors against treating individuals because they are victims of sexual abuse or undergoing treatment for anxiety be removed from these guidelines. Healthcare decisions should not be influenced by politics or discriminatory practices.

Finally, we ask for the abolition or reform of PDMP/NarxCare systems which currently contribute more towards stigmatizing patients than aiding them.

In Texas alone there are millions suffering from chronic pain (source: Texas Department Of State Health Services). It's time we prioritize patient care over biased policies. Please sign this petition and help us bring about much-needed change in chronic pain management policy.

look I want everyone to understand what Mme is it’s their measure t they have placed on opioids they call it moriphine equivalent. Now hear is an example. They are basically saying a 240 man and 100 pound woman is equal and the same amounts need to used period. So in addition they are not even counting weight and or that we all are unique.
people that aren’t chronic pain patients listen up don’t think it won’t affect you. Imagine one day you break your leg in the worst way imaginable and you go to the er you under go surgery and then when you are sent home you can have one I pain pill twice a day everyone mostly knows it wears off in 4 hours right but you have to suffer and wait until bedtime before you can have another. So how is any pain patient going to have a life that way? You aren’t and they haven’t cared and won’t answer our grievances. Not you not the doctor the government has control. There lies our rights being violated

I do not know about you but I’ve been dealing with pain and illness for over almost 20 years  yes I have chronic pain, yes  I have full blown anxiety,  yes I had a bad childhood

No I am not an addict, yes I know how to take my medication safely and I am above the age of 18 . I am an adult American so I say TREAT ME AS SUCH!

There is a WAR on opioids but it is not prescription opioids. It is the illegal fentanyl that is killing people. Now some may have had some one  o’d on opioids and maybe on a small chance it was a prescription but I assure you they were only trying to take away some symptoms of another addiction. Maybe it was a prescription first on a small I mean small percentage of acute pain patients but I will add studies that refuting what the CDC, VA and DEA say it is.
The time is now to take back our rights.
If you don’t want to do it for us then do it for your veterans. They go to war for us. They keep the government and us safe and some are injured severely and will have chronic pain and will not have any treatment and if they go outside of the VA for treatment, the treating doctor will receive a phone call(personal experience within the family
