We the undersigned are extremely concerned and against the council's proposal's to close Wirral Tennis Centre 

The Council have been successful in closing Woodchurch Leisure Centre resulting in many individuals and families unable to access sports facilities local to them. They are now targeting Wirral Tennis Centre with the implication "it will only be for a year"  

The Tennis Centre plays a valuable role in our community offering a varied sports programme to suit all ages and abilities and many people rely on this to benefit their physical health as well as contributing to positive mental health too. 

This Centre is also the only facility in the local area providing six indoor tennis courts giving people the opportunity to play all year-round. Another of the council's propositions is to lose three of these much needed and well used courts. 

We need to stand up to these decisions being made by our own council in areas that desperately need leisure facilities and let them know we are angry with their complete disregard for what matters to us .

We need them to think again before we and our children have no where to go in the future to exercise.

We are asking Wirral Borough Council to reconsider their proposal's and keep the centre open.
