Graduation Together

Graduation Together
The Issue
Class of 2020 students have had it hard enough as it is and are all looking foward to graduating with their class that they have not seen since the beginning of spring break back in March. Originally we were supposed to graduate at the end of May but we all know what happened then. Are graduation has been postponed twice now and now they are telling us that we can’t graduate together with all of our class watching us, can’t stand side by side with the people that we’ve seen every day during the school year for the past four years?! The school board didn’t even ask us to see how we wanted to get are diploma. I came back to this school to graduate with the people that mean the most to me. I feel I deserve that much. (Even if I passed by the skin of my teeth, I did none the less). My goal is to have my senior class of 2020 all sitting together side by side cheering on their piers as they get their long awaited diploma that we’ve all worked tirelessly for. Instead of walking across the stage alone with no one to cheer my name as it’s called to walk across. Please Mr. Gaffney, let the Class of 2020 graduate like we were supposed to.
