As a community, we are striving for accessibility into Winnebago County Park for leashed dogs. We are requesting the Winnebago County Board follow suit with the City of Oshkosh, and other large communities (Green Bay, Neenah, Appleton) that allow leashed dogs into parks and more specifically on shared use paths. 

We believe that driving to the only dog park into the city is an accessibility issue for those that live in the apartments as well as North Park Neighborhood. There are shared use paths directly connecting both North Park and Jackson St apartments. Currently residents are unable to walk a leashed dog into the park to utilize the dark park. They must drive in a vehicle. This further creates barriers for those without cars or children who want a safe place to take their animal.
