Protecting windsor essex
The Issue
If you live in windsor essex you know the windsor riverfront is the main attraction of windsor. People visit the waterfront daily with friends or family to walk, fish, rollerblade, bike etc. The waterfront is always packed day or night with big crowds . Since the cornonavirus has started more people are stuck at home bored due to work, gyms, malls being closed. As the nicer weather comes so does the big crowds, people head to the riverfront to get fresh air and exercise. Since April there has been 3 assaults on women in windsor.
I want people to feel safe going to the riverfront day or night. Windsorites are very lucky to have a beautiful waterfront. There's plenty of people who prefer going for walks and exercising at night to avoid the large crowds and the weather is nicer. We have the right to feel safe and not worry about being attacked or assaulted day or night. My goal is to gather 2000 signatures and get mayor Drew Dilkens attention to install lights from west to east end of windsor at the riverfront , add panic buttons to alert other pedestrians and police like they have at the university. It will help save lives and help catch the criminal. I also want to Mayor Drew Dilkens to implement police presence at the riverfront 24/7 for the health and safety of the community.
Please share this with all your friends and family on all social media . Let's protect our windsorites and get safety measures in place as soon as possible stay safe
