There are no longer any Youth Services provided by Wiltshire Council and the Council seeks to sell off those community owned Youth Facilities that still remain, in order to cover the costs of their other failures.

Further more, Wiltshire Council's Young Peoples' Safeguarding Teams and Wiltshire's Restrictive Policies & Practices make it almost impossible for Community Organisations to provide local, voluntary Youth Services.

In Fact, Wiltshire Council has not only abandoned Youth Services. These failures extend to the point where they have reduced the numbers of Community Focused Officers and Safeguarding Officers. They have made the situation unsafe for young people generally in Wiltshire.

Some of these consequences are that many young people are running wild, engaging in drugs & alcohol and antisocial behaviour in the unsupervised and unmaintained parks and community spaces.
