Hi everyone,
Thanks for signing our petition asking for better public facilities at Williamstown Beach. More than 1,100 beach users have put their name to our request for reasonable changerooms, toilets and showers at the western end of the beach.
Hobsons Bay City Council have heard our voice and changed the project scope to include "open space planning works" including "appropriate levels of open space infrastructure and amenity for the precinct."
HBCC officers met with us and now recognise the entire precinct around the west end of the beach, extending past the carpark beyond the Crystal Steps, is an extremely active zone requiring updated council infrastructure to support large numbers of people.
Concept designs will be released in the next week or so. Meetings will be held at the beach to hear public feedback in November and December.
Crunch time for this issue is now. Big decisions are being made about our beach. Decisions that will last a lifetime.
So please share the easy link to this petition with your friends. We don't need donations, just signatures. Every signature makes our voice harder to ignore.

This redevelopment needs cater for the needs of the public and ensure our beautiful beach precinct is open wand available for all beach users forever.
Our petition is making a difference, let's keep it growing and showing the decision makers how much support there is for improved public facilities at our beautiful beach!
Thanks,
Jason
