Help Save this Small Local Business—The shelter canopy tent for children and families at The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory Buzz Bar created much needed healthy shelter from the strong sun and other weather conditions for visitors, ferry riders, local park goers and tourists—all year 'round. The venue is open 7 days a week and used to run all year long, rain or snow. Now it has to close under any weather conditions and will close for the upcoming cold weather seasons. It was the ONLY available outdoor public shelter open to anyone on this end of the stretch of park.

Please allow The Ice Cream Factory to once again erect and bring back this needed shelter. If the Brooklyn bridge Park Conservancy believes the canopy tent is more of an eye sore than the rusting Symphony Barge, then they should please design a canopy style of their choice. We believe that this shelter is good business for the health/safety, comfort and convenience of all park visitors and augments the park. You may consider also having these shelter canopies on the other end at Fornino's Waterfront Pizzeria and other venues on this waterfront stretch of public park business. AND, please do something about that Symphony Barge—it even looks dangerous. Thank you.
