Hi Wilcox Students! It was just announced recently that our school has decided to not change our weekly schedule to the proposed 4-block day schedule, and keep it as our current 2-block day schedule. Two thirds of the Wilcox staff voted to keep the current schedule, saying students would have a harder time learning with the longer class periods, but I disagree! A majority of my student peers have expressed a different opinion, saying that the 4-day block schedule would make school less stressful with earlier end times, as well as they would only have to focus on half their classes per day, rather than all 6-7 classes. Changing the schedule would also give more time to focus on each class and be more productive for students and teachers alike. If we get enough signatures on this petition, then maybe we can convince the Wilcox Staff to listen to their students and change the schedule! Thank you all in advance!!
