The Cisgendered public needs to understand that once a trans person "comes out" with his or her gender identity, any attempt to confine them to their previous identity (gender-specific pronouns and names included) is an act of bigotry. By no means does any person reserve the right to deny a trans man or woman his or her right to self-identify.
