CHANGE THE LOGO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CREST

CHANGE THE LOGO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CREST
The Issue
The crest has been a staple part of the club for many years and has always been a big part of Wigan’s history. Throughout the decades the badge has changed but has always reverted back to the classic crest depicting a castle surrounded by lions, a night and the banner; ‘Ancient and Loyal’.
It seems the fans have not been consulted on this change and have not been offered options to choose from, if the badge must be changed.
Wigan fans are loyal to the core and to see the club so blatantly ignore the fans is disappointing to say the least. In a new era of digital age, fan loyalty is not to be undermined. In addition, the traditional crest is easily printed/ sown onto clothing, the digital aspect is not an issue. Fans have stickers on their cars, old kits, and even tattoos of the wigan crest.
Now is time to listen to the fans. If the badge MUST be changed for whatever reason, at least give the fans a chance to voice their opinion. After all, without the fans, there would be no club.
