Widen Lincoln County's growth plan map to include Old Lincoln Road and Prospect Rd
Widen Lincoln County's growth plan map to include Old Lincoln Road and Prospect Rd
The Issue
I am writing to urge the responsible authorities to consider widening Lincoln County's growth plan map to include Old Lincoln Road as its eastern boundary. This area currently houses over 20 active small businesses already. The opportunity for landowners in the area to develop and use their land for commercial purposes could be significant for them as well as future generations of entrepreneurs.
Lincoln County needs to allow small business to blossom in any area that the people of the community desire. Most especially in a rural setting where it would be more convenient to provide for them closer to their home.
Commerce and agriculture are a lifeline for our local government. The current growth plan map does not fully utilize the potential of this area. Including Old Lincoln Road in the growth plan would allow for blue collar businesses to thrive along its path. This will provide revenue for the county, as well as offer local jobs that are in demand. These benefits are not hypothetical. Studies have shown that areas experiencing similar expansions have seen enhanced business opportunities and increased real estate values, something the residents of this area don't want to miss out on.
Moreover, by incorporating Old Lincoln Road into the growth map, we acknowledge the contributions of longstanding businesses and agricultural ventures that have made Lincoln County what it is today. This adjustment will also pave the way for newer generations of entrepreneurs and farmers alike to flourish .
Consider the positive effects of this decision and act promptly. By making this change, not only do we honor the legacy of those who have built this community, but we also ensure its chance for a great economic future.
Please lend your support to this important cause. Stand with us as we advocate for a more prosperous Lincoln County. Sign this petition to widen the growth plan map to include Old Lincoln Road as its easternmost boundary. Together, we can make a difference.
