We should not use our lockers because they do not provide any real purpose for the students and make our lives more difficult.

We should not use lockers because the average size of a school desk is 26 by 23 inches.  Also the average size of a single closed notebook is 8.5 by 11 inches.  This means that because we carry four notebooks and a chromebook, pencils and pens there is not enough space on our desks.  That means that we do not have enough space to write or use our chromebooks on our desks.  That would all be avoided if we had the use of a bag.  

Teachers claim that no bags will make it easier on the stairs but if people cannot carry all of their supplies and then supplies fall it will cause chaos in the hallways.  Also the bags provide the solution because although it takes up more space it causes less chaos.  Also bags were made to be used.  We do not merely carry our books to school.  We use the bags that our parents paid money for.  And now we are not using them.

 Another reason that we should not use lockers is because our lockers are very very small and do not give us enough space for a coat, a bag and supplies for a whole day.  On top of our lockers being too small we have only three minutes to get to our lockers which can be up to three floors away and then get our supplies and get to class.  This is assuming we are not kept after the bell or there is not a spill on the stair from a lack of backpacks.  

Also if we visit our lockers before lunch then we will not be able to get to lunch on time. When we are not able to get to our lockers on time then we lose the precious few minutes we have to eat.  When we do not have time to eat then we do not have the necessary calories to learn throughout the day.  Finally if we do not use our bags then if someone forgets their supplies then they will have to miss a valuable five minutes of instruction time which could result in them not comprehending the rest of the class.

In conclusion we need to not use our lockers because they make the lives of all of the students harder and provide no real purposeful use.
