The Issue

I know in this day and age that we are living in the digital streaming service era where our favorite movies and television shows are on multiple platforms such as Disney Plus, Max, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Paramount Plus, Netflix and Apple TV. Some people cannot afford streaming platforms because it's becoming very expensive these days and what is happening now is stores like Best Buy and Target is they're planning to stop selling physical media such as 4K/Blu-Rays and DVDs. I want to explain physical media like DVDs and Blu-ray Discs are important to so many people.

Physical media is important because people love to have a physical copy of a movie or television show that they love in their hands because it brings pure joy and bliss as it can be felt, held and placed into a DVD or Blu-Ray player. Physical Media such as DVDs and Blu-ray Discs are important because they are a piece for both cinema and television history to be shown for future generations of movie fans, filmmakers, writers and historians. Another reason that physical media matters unlike streaming services is that film studios such as Disney and Warner Bros are removing content for their tax write off to save money which is extremely frustrating to movie fans around the world. Streaming services also require internet to work which is extremely frustrating for people.

In conclusion, streaming services are now becoming very expensive and a lot of people all over the world cannot afford it. Physical media deserves a better future alongside streaming services because people want a physical copy of a movie or television show that they love in their hands rather than on a laptop or smartphone. Physical Media shouldn't be a relic of the past or be forgotten because it's what inspires people to learn more about the history of technology and most importantly filmmaking.
