Beaumont, CA is overdue a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Gelson's & a few higher end nosheries

The Issue

It's impossible to miss, yet you can't help but stare. The number of homes popping up along the 10 and 60 freeways is uncanny!

With an anticipated 7,000 new homes (and a whopping 65-70,000 new inhabitants) hypothesized to go up between 2018-2020, Beaumont, CA is inarguably breaking ground faster than Eastvale (south of Ontario and north of Corona, CA) to quickly become the East Inland Empire's newest resurgence of "Rancho Cucamonga"!

Depicted online as being the fastest growing town within the ENTIRE US of A, high-end neighborhoods such as Beacon and Abrio at Sundance or Tournament Hills are virtually being erected overnight whilst encompassing homes estimated to appraise from $450-750,000.00 - easily!

One would think that the City of Beaumont and/or all of it's construction teams, builders and affiliates would've better prepared for such the surge in dwellers, all individually ready and willing to call this bustling town "home", yet and as it appears by this petition alone:

Such is HARDLY the case.

Limiting the town to a paltry two Stater Bros, Food 4 Less, Albertson's and Heaven help us, a 99 Cent Store - the nearest "decent" let alone "viable" options for shopping arrive by way of Redlands, Riverside, Cabazon (for retail therapy) and you guessed it........Moreno Valley; each, some 20+ miles away!

This is embarrassing at best, as regrettably, should newfound locals conjure a hankering for something contemporary, organic or gourmet (e.g.: Jenson's, Gelson's, Bristol Farms, Whole Foods or Trader's) they're required to "load the anklebiters", fill their tanks and embark on a weekend excursion out to Palm Springs and/or the "charcuterie" platter of cacti-adjacent, desert towns to better achieve solace outside of this rapidly booming town.

What gives?

Where's the sense of "home"?

An added but simple inquiry would be: WHAT IS BEING DONE TO RESOLVE ANY OF THIS and WHEN will the verdict hit the press?

Dining options within Beaumont are next to non-existent as there are NO SIT DOWN establishments for families to commune or to so much as entertain and treat out of town guest(s) within.

Fast food franchises align the freeway in "Downtown Banning" as well as the southern portion of "Highland Springs", yet there's ZILCH to warrant the highfalutin cost of housing around these parts and it's a sad.....SAD day when Sizzler becomes your preferred "5 star" dining destination due to the unmistakable void in eateries, grocery shopping and various additional local lineup contenders.

Facing facts: One would expect to exit the freeway and view a nirvana inspired paradise, yet what they're met with is subpar landscaping alongside the off-ramps coupled by shopping carts, panhandlers and gridlocked traffic pandemonium.

***** Is receiving what we're paying for as homeowners all too high a request???

With the highest Mello-Roos within the ENTIRE state of California, Beaumont, it's high time we "wake up and smell the Starbuck's" (another franchise we visibly don't possess enough of)!

We're clearly paying the cost.

So........why are we experiencing such a blatant loss?
