Inspired by Daily Beast writer Olivia Nuzzi, I am petitioning the incoming White House communications director to begin a video outreach series on YouTube and other platforms in which President Donald J. Trump would explain the history, significance, as well as, personal thoughts and feelings on each calendar holiday in the United States of America on the day we celebrate them.

Such a program would be a beautiful and a fantastic way for the President to connect with ordinary citizens. Much like Franklin Delano Roosevelt's fireside chats, the videos in the series would provide the American people with a sense of security, comfort, and a connection to an often distant and unrelatable leadership, while providing them with useful information.

From New Years to Christmas, MLK, Labor, Memorial, and the many others, possibly even Cesar Chavez Day and Mardi Gras. This nation wants to hear the President's expertise and stories. 

As an added bonus, the program would, in all likelihood, meet the requirements for history education for K-12 students under incoming Education Secretary Betsy DeVos' proposals. Thus, cutting spending and reducing the deficit. It's beautiful, the best. Believe me.
