Nadia Tolokonnikova; member of Pussy Riot has not been seen for 26 days. Family have been told she is being held in a TB medical ward in a prison in Siberia. Nadia's transfer to the prison began on the 21st October and family were only notified of her location on the 14th November. Russian law states that a prisoner's  family must be notified of their location within 10 days of being transferred but this does not include time spent in transit. Due to the extended transfer, Nadia's family must now wait a further 10 days to see her and confirm her wellbeing. Nadia was last seen by her lawyer on the 18th October and last seen by her family in early September. Her husband Peter was finally allowed to speak with Nadia on the phone on the 14th Nov. Nadia spent her birthday on the 7.11.13 in isolation at an unknown location. An appeal has been lodged with the supreme court for Nadia's sentence to be dropped immediately as she was imprisoned under false charges.

On Nadia's condition-  Andrey Tolokonnikov, told BuzzFeed he was worried officials wanted to hide her to avoid negative publicity if it turned out she had been mistreated.

“They want to hide Nadya,” he said. “It’s because of what she exposed, and the Olympics, and, perhaps worst of all, because of her health. Specifically the state of her face. Or because she’s covered in welts, or she’s been beaten, or something else we don’t know and can only guess at.”  (11.11.13) Nadia's father- Andrey Tolokonnikov

On Nadia's location- "I do not know for sure because they are hiding her," Khrunova said, adding that she had been unable to contact Tolokonnikova for nearly three weeks. "I cannot say anything for sure until I hear from my client."  Nadia's lawyer- Irina Khrunova (7.11.13)

“Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has publicly complained of threats she received from prison officials. We are concerned that she now may be being punished for this and for speaking out about deplorable prison conditions,” “If reports are true, transferring her to a prison colony thousands of kilometres from Moscow would make it almost impossible for her relatives and lawyers to see her. Nadia is being kept HIDDEN as they wish to SILENCE and PUNISH her. In the process they are seriously jeopardizing her health and violating her human rights.
