In the commons area of Wheaton Warrenville South High School, there are many flags that represent the various diverse ethnic and national backgrounds of its students. However, the great flag of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay is currently not included.

This is offensive to much of the Wheaton Warrenville South student body. However, it hurts me personally, because I have a great interest and fascination with everything related to Uruguay. Other students at South may not feel as strongly as I do about this small South American nation, but they still take offense to the lack of the flag hanging in the commons as they eat lunch or talk w/ their friends before classes begin. In addition, if Wheaton Warrenville South has a Uruguayan student in the future, they may find this very offensive as well.

This petition asks for the addition of a Uruguayan flag in the commons. The flags of dozens of other nations from all across the world are already flown, so why not add one more. Thank you for your consideration, Semper Tigris and Vamos a Uruguay!
