On Monday, January 23rd, 2023 a meme was born.

Whales.

Wheaton College alumna Amy Shaw presented the idea of there being "more" in life than just the journey, using whales as a metaphor. With this, we seek to make her dream a permanent addition to Wheaton College by changing our mascot from a mastodon to a whale. The "Wheaton Whales" if you will.

This inspiring change would be deeply rooted in Wheaton College culture and chapel history alike (not to mention the alliteration of "Wheaton Whales").

Help make our campus see that there's more to the journey for generations to come!
