WHAT SEEMED TO BE A NIGHTMARE TURNED INTO A REAL LIFE EVENT
The Issue
Michelle Lujan, Grisham Governor’s office of New Mexico
Dear Governor
Michelle Lujan Grisham,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to respectfully request your consideration of commute for Noe Torres. I believe that commute is a just and compassionate option in his case, and I would like to explain why.
In the beginning what had seemed to be a nightmare for Noe Torres turned into a real life event.
We, the undersigned, express our deep concern regarding the lack of full disclosure of discovery materials in the case of Noe Torres, who has been sentenced to life in prison and has been incarcerated for 12 years.
It is a fundamental principle of justice that all relevant evidence including recordings and written statements of each individual that we’re questioned during each interrogation session and a copy of all phone records be made available and released to the defense.
We believe that the failure to provide complete discovery materials undermines the integrity of the legal process.
We call upon the relevant authorities to immediately release all discovery materials related to Noe Torres’s case, ensuring transparency and a fair opportunity for a comprehensive review.
The withholding of evidence compromises the right to a fair mistrial and obstructs the pursuit of truth and justice.
"We, the undersigned, petition the Governor of New Mexico to consider commute for Noe Torres, who has been denied access to complete discovery materials that is crucial to Noe’s case. We believe that the absence of critical evidence in Noe’s defense undermines the integrity of the legal process and raises serious doubts about the fairness of Mr. Torres’s conviction.
In the interest of justice, we urge the Governor to review Noe Torres's case and to grant commute if it is determined that the denial of complete discovery materials has compromised Noe Torres’s right to a fair trial. It is imperative that we uphold the principles of transparency, fairness, and the presumption of innocence.
By signing this petition, we seek a thorough review of Noe Torres’s situation and hope that the Governor of New Mexico Michelle Lujan Grisham, will consider commute as a means to rectify any miscarriages of justice and ensure that the legal process adheres to the highest standards of fairness and due.
Your decision in this matter has the power to change a life and bring hope to a family. I trust in your wisdom and sense of justice to make the right choice.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this request. I sincerely hope that you will grant commute to Noe Torres and provide him with a second chance.
# COMMUTE NOE TORRES’S LIFE + 19 YEARS SENTENCE!
