WHAT HAPPENED TO SUSAN VOSILLA?

Stop corrupt attorneys and their families from preying upon defenseless disabled victims and obtaining their inheritances. Help investigate the abusive neglect of incapacitated Susan G. Vosilla, her 3 dogs and her untimely death.

This petition is a call to action to keep the Supreme Court case against Anthony Bucca and Family and Renata Kenul and beneficiaries open so that the powers that be can investigate what happened to Susan G. Vosilla. We contend she prematurely passed away due to the neglect of the beneficiaries of her estate and her fiduciary, Anthony Bucca, and would like to see a formal investigation into Susan's mysterious and untimely death and subsequent pirating of her estate.

Anthony Bucca, an attorney, presented affidavits to become the guardian of a clearly incapacitated person, Susan G. Vosilla, promising to take care of her, as she was unable to take care of her own well being and personal needs without help. He professed in these affidavits that he believed that she was incapacitated, and due to her disabilities, Susan G. Vosilla would not be able to take care of her own well being without the assistance of a court appointed guardian.  Anthony Bucca informed Susan’s family that he would take care of Susan and would protect her from unscrupulous people who would try to steal from her.  The court had misgivings about Anthony Bucca becoming Susan’s guardian, as Anthony Bucca had previously been involved in a multitude of estate matters in which he was found to be involved in unethical and immoral practices, none of which Susan's family were aware of prior to her legal involvement with him.  Unfortunately for the family, the judge that had issues with Anthony Bucca's credibility has since retired. 

Unbeknownst to Susan’s family, Anthony Bucca manufactured an elaborate will and trust, naming himself, his family and other conspirators as beneficiaries, even though they had never had any relationship with Susan, while continually denouncing her immediate family and rightful heirs to Susan and others in the community.  During this time, he assured Susan’s family that Susan was being well cared for with the $430,000 that comprised the bulk of Susan's assets, monies that had been given to Anthony Bucca to manage on Susan's behalf, which was intended to provide for both her needs and comfort.  After Doria signed the Guardianship papers, created by Anthony Bucca, he sent emails and letters  to Attorney William Simon prohibiting Doria and her family communication with Susan. Meanwhile, Anthony Bucca neglected to provide Susan necessary medical treatment, which was covered under her health insurance policy, while assuring Doria and her family that her sister Susan was well-cared for.  Susan had a multitude of health issues which contributed to her being disabled. Anthony Bucca never collected Susan’s mail or disability checks, nor did he provide Susan with house cleaners, dog walkers, visiting nurses or required medicines, all of which fell under his duties.  Anthony Bucca never even assisted her with any food shopping, which Susan was incapable of doing for herself, being almost fully immobilized. When she died, there was nine months worth of garbage and dog waste  from her three dogs still in the house. It is the family’s understanding that he did not allocate money for her basic living expenses or financially plan for Susan’s well being.  It is believed that he never used the $430,000 entrusted to him to assist her with anything!  Instead, he was lining his own pockets.  For the twelve months that he was supposedly taking care of Susan, he defrauded Doria and her family by having them believe that he was attending to Susan’s needs as her court appointed guardian, yet was purposely neglecting her for his own financial benefit.  Anthony Bucca, as architect of Susan's will and trust, has used said will and trust to attempt to insulate himself from all crimes associated with his neglect, in a concerted effort to steal from her estate. 

Susan was on disability, and due to her medical issues, was incapable of working in any capacity, nor did she ever express interest in working in the family business.  She had been supported financially and cared for by her mother and her sister, Doria and her family. Anthony Bucca now contends that, as heir to Susan's estate, he is entitled to half of the family business, regardless of the fact that Susan's mother never intended for her to be involved in running the hotel, as she was not up to the task. The $430,000 that was entrusted to Anthony Bucca was an initial payment towards Susan's portion of her mother's estate. Her sister Doria inherited the hotel, which was mired in financial difficulties and required extensive renovations. 

If you feel that it is wrong for attorneys to absolve themselves from criminal activity by creating intricate will and trusts that allow them to perform acts that would, in other circumstances, be considered fraudulent, and thus illegal; then you should sign this petition. 

Citizens, Friends, and Family DEMAND to know:

·  How is it possible that Susan was whisked away from her mother's funeral mass (she never appeared at the cemetery) by friends of Anthony Bucca, to sign papers naming Anthony Bucca as Power of Attorney? Anthony Bucca’s friends, Yolanda Calligaro and Marjorie Kaufman, who had brought Susan to his office, would eventually be named as Beneficiaries of Susan’s Estate.  This occurred on a day when Susan was distraught over the loss of her mother, who had always provided for and cared for her.  Did she have any real understanding of the documents she was signing?  Was she in a proper state of mind to make this type of decision?

·  How is it possible that Anthony Bucca of Tannersville, New York became Susan G. Vosilla's Attorney, Executor and Fiduciary and then, along with his family and friends,  became Beneficiaries of the estate of his client Susan G. Vosilla?  How is it possible that the Beneficiaries were friends and family of Anthony Bucca, yet none of them had a prior relationship to Susan G. Vosilla, her family or the Villa Vosilla?  Aside from having no prior relationship, they offered no assistance to her while she was alive, though she was clearly in need of help. Susan was on social security disability due to her strokes and diminished mental capacity, which were complications of her juvenile diabetes.

·  How was partially blind Susan, with little more than an 8th to 10th grade education, able to read (without glasses) and comprehend the 66 pages of legal technicalities that comprised her will and trust within 20 minutes prior to signing, without any friends or family to assist her, a mere three months after her mother's death?  (She professed to having gotten lost in the attorney's parking lot prior to the signing.) The signing took place 3 months after Susan’s mother died from 4 stage lung cancer, on her deceased mother's birthday, a day which exacerbated her grief over the loss of her mother. How was she capable of understanding the details of what she was signing? Beyond that, considering the significance of the date, was she in a state of mind to sufficiently understand the ramifications of signing these documents?

·  Anthony Bucca helped orchestrate an irrevocable trust that was to be (in his own words) "bullet proof" with “no court review”, which allowed him to commit illegal and unethical acts without fear of prosecution.  This will and trust contains many benefits for himself, and essentially allows him to drain the estate with legal fees incurred as a fiduciary, executor, attorney, and beneficiary before any other beneficiaries get paid any part of the estate.

·  Susan Vosilla had FULL health coverage and financial resources for quality care!  However, an in-depth investigation revealed that she did NOT receive meaningful health care during the last 9 months of her life, while in the care of her Trustee Anthony Bucca.

·  Why was Susan's funeral and burial plot paid for (in cash) by Beneficiary Renata Kenul two months PRIOR to Susan’s death? Yet no provisions were made for her health and well being while she was still alive.

·  Multiple autopsy requests were made by her sister, Doria, who was her next of kin and only immediate relative.  Therefore, why was an autopsy REFUSED for Susan Vosilla, who died an unattended death? Why was she cremated before an autopsy could be performed, against numerous objections of her immediate family? 

·  Attorney Anthony Bucca, in clearly conflicting roles as both a fiduciary and beneficiary of Susan’s estate, has not revealed his accounting of disabled Susan's estate. Why has this information NOT been subpoenaed by Schoharie Judge George Bartlett III or the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department Committee on Professional Standards?

·  Anthony Bucca REFUSES to reveal his spending of his client Susan Vosilla's estate! Is he fearful it would further prove his guilt in the neglect of his client Susan Vosilla?

·  Given Anthony Bucca's egregious involvement with numerous other cases of estate pirating, which have been documented and filed with the Surrogates Court in Greene County,  New York, how is this predator of disabled, vulnerable people allowed to continue to practice law?  Could it have been because of his son Charles Bucca's position as Acting District Attorney, or other political and familial ties to Greene County?

·  Why has the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese not removed Harriet Bucca (Anthony Bucca's wife) from Head Religious Director of the Parish of Shrine of the Immaculate Conception? Her involvement in this case raises serious concerns about her suitability to counsel people in spiritual matters. Considering her complete lack of ethics or morals in this matter, and how contrary it runs to Church teachings, one must question even her claim to being a practicing Catholic.

·  Former DA Charles Bucca, son of Anthony Bucca and successor of Susan's inheritance, had been fired on Christmas Eve from Greene County because of his family's involvement in this matter.  He has since taken another job in the Saratoga District Attorneys Office, which we find a cause for concern. Considering his possible involvement in this case, why has the new Greene County DA, Joe Stanzione, not gotten involved or started an investigation?

·   Why were purjury charges not filed against Anthony Bucca? Anthony Bucca changed his stories numerous times in court, as those in attendance listened in shock. These documented instances of perjury resulted in not so much as a slap on the wrist from the judge. Why is that?

·   Why are they trying to remove the immediate family from the Villa Vosilla, a 52 year old business, now being run by the 4th generation of the family, and remove owner Doria as the Executrix of the Estate of Nattalina Vosilla?

·   Why was the case held a huge distance away in Schoharie County?  Perhaps so far away so that folks in Susan's community would not find out? This is highly unusual, at best, and highly suspicious at worst.

·   Why would local judge George Bartlett III rule in Anthony Bucca's favor before being presented with any evidence from opposing counsel? Why was there no trial?

·   There were countless witnesses to testify, affadavits, and a mountain of incriminating evidence - why did the judge not allow this to be presented in open court? 

·   Why was the date of Susan's birthday altered by Anthony Bucca, delaying any records to be obtained?

·    Why did the judge not wait for Susan's medical records, and her complete lack of care not allowed into evidence?

·   Why was Anthony Bucca's accounting of Susan's assets not opened and investigated?

·   Why was Susan's safe deposit emptied and Key Bank's history of the access of safe deposit box erased?

·    Where is the recliner where Susan Vosilla was found dead? Where were her medications, including the insulin that kept her alive? Why were these particular items immediately removed? 

·   Why was there no autopsy from Hasan Baasagic Funeral Director and coroner, even after numerous pleas from the family?

·   Why was Susan Vosilla, who was found alone, cremated without an autopsy?

·   Since all involved are Republicans, why is the Republican party not looking into this mess? The head of the Schoharie Republican Party said he is a good friend of Judge George Bartlett III - is that coloring his perceptions of this case? How does he not see the judge's behavior in this case as appalling?

Anthony Bucca needs to be held accountable to prevent him, and others like him, from preying upon other vulnerable victims like Susan Vosilla and her family. The self serving actions of Anthony Bucca, his wife Harriet Bucca (religious director of the local Catholic church, Shrine of the Immaculate Conception), their son Charles Bucca (former Acting DA of Greene County NY), Renata Kenul (estranged sister of Susan's mother, Natalina Vosilla), and Yolanda Calligaro (who was found to have sued Susan’s mother, Nattalina Vosilla).  Anthony Bucca is also the Executor of the estate of the now deceased Yolanda Calligaro) and other Beneficiaries, John Vosilla and Anthony Vosilla (the sons of Silvio Vosilla, who swindled Susan’s parents out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, along with many other innocent  victims) are deplorable.

The details of this case are spreading near and far.  People are frightened by this, and deeply concerned...if this could happen to Susan Vosilla, it could happen to anyone.  There needs to be an investigation into what happened to Susan G. Vosilla, as well as the actions of Anthony Bucca in his capacity as Guardian and Fiduciary and the actions of Judge George Bartlett III  for tacitly approving what Anthony Bucca has done and not investigating this case.

How would you feel if an incapacitated family member was  purposely neglected by the very people charged with their care, in an effort to steal any assets associated with their estate? This is exactly what Anthony Bucca, his family members and co-conspirators did by purposely neglecting Susan G. Vosilla and allowing her to die before her time, in deplorable living conditions and squalor, without medical attention, so that they could benefit financially.  By neglecting Susan G. Vosilla, Anthony Bucca, along with his family and friends, intended to collect on her estate by creating an intricate will and trust, and marginalizing the original heirs to her estate, which we believe was never Susan’s intention, had she not been unduly influenced by these estate pirates.

It is frightening that Judge George Bartlett III of Schoharie County has set a new PRECEDENT that Attorneys and their families can now benefit from their clients' estates without justification or recourse!!  This is simply unconscionable!  Is there no justice in Greene County? What is happening to Susan’s family, and what happened to Susan G. Vosilla herself, can NOW happen to you, your family and your friends, thanks to the unethical actions of one local judge.
