As many of you know, Whalen Park is 53-acre community asset along the St. Lawrence River in Louisville, NY. The North Country has so many amazing things to offer and our goal is to highlight those features and give you spaces to make memories in! Whalen Park offers scenic views, trails, a playground, tennis court & basketball court but what we want to do is bring in some new features to make these spaces more useful & enjoyable. With your help, we would like to bring in a dog park, splash pad, new seating & shade structures, new bike & vehicle parking, as well as adding in some new trees. We would also like to provide space for the growing game of Pickleball. The dog park would be a safe space for your dog(s) to run and play, socialize and get their "Zoomies" on. We would offer water stations to help keep them cool & hydrated. We can offer fun little obstacle courses for them get out all that extra energy! The splash pad would be IDEAL at Whalen Park. It would be placed along side the playground so that parents/caregivers could easily observe both areas. The seating & shade structures would allow park-goers to be able to relax & enjoy the space. We want to be able to do all of this for the community we LOVE so much but we need your help! Please consider signing & sharing this petition.
