The air conditioning at Saugeen Maitland Hall needs to be turned back on. Students all around residence have been extremely hot and uncomfortable in the last few days and it is unacceptable. We have been experiencing headaches, dizziness, nausea, weakness, and overall discomfort. This is an alarming problem in itself. However, the timeliness of it makes it even worse. It is a midterm season, meaning that students are spending a lot of time in residence, in their rooms, studying, but are unable to do this comfortably due to the heat and the side effects that come from it. Sleep is one of the most important things for students to be getting during this time of year, so that our minds can rest and be refreshed for the next day. However, countless students are losing sleep due to waking up sweating and being very uncomfortable.

This is an urgent problem that needs to be fixed.
