Students that take the pass fail option know they are opting out of Chancellor's and Dean's lists but the students taking the grades should still be eligible because they didn't take the pass fail option. These students worked extra hard and still achieved high enough grades for these lists and that's worth recognizing. It shouldn't be taken away. If students can opt out of letter grades, they can opt out of the lists. We understood last semester, but not this semester and especially not two weeks before final grades. It's unfair to students who continued to excel despite their circumstances.
