my name is bruce heiserman. i am a chicken breeder and educator  and have been for many years. i preserve older breeds of heritage chickens. my flocks are tested every 90 days for illness. my coops are kept clean. i have some lines of birds which can not be replaced. the issue is my roosters. i have 4 roosters which i need to continue my work. the current flock has been with me for 5 years on the same land. now my birds became an issue after all this time.

i have had my birds ,this current flock for 5 years. not one time have i had a complaint or an issue.in all this til about 7-8 months ago. i started receiving complaints. i went to the township building an explained my postilion. i did remove some of my birds. all my 2nd string went. i did this to make peace.and show i am working with them. i received letters here and there and always.kept them in the loop. i was told they had a meeting and voted against my birds. i was not informed of such a meeting. on Friday June 26, 2015 i received a letter in the mail stating they will seek a judge to ticket me if not removed by july 1st 2015.

my birds mean the world to me as it gives me a purpose and helps me in my issues with ptsd. i have educated my neighbors and various children in the area about proper care. i do not raise birds for profit. the township knows i am willing to move in order to keep my birds i just need time to do so.
