West Lothian Council have stated that:

"All West Lothian residents will be getting a new ‘Skinny’ grey bin in 2016, which will help to increase recycling rates and reduce the amount of taxpayers money spent on sending waste to landfill.
This means that all households will be given a new 140 litre grey bin to replace their current 240 litre grey bin."

This means that we will have a bin that holds 100 litres LESS rubbish yet is still emptied ONCE A FORTNIGHT. Like many of you, I have only a small 3 person (2 dog) family yet my grey bin is full to bursting each fortnight AND I RECYCLE.  My blue bin is also full each fortnight as I regularly recycle. This means that my rubbish WILL LITTER THE STREETS. My street - like many in West Lothian - is already littered due to people's bins already overflowing as it is, can you imagine the state the streets will be in next year?

No opinion poll was raised by West Lothian Council. This has been IMPOSED upon us without any say from the people of West Lothian and is opposed by many on the West Lothian Council Facebook page.

This MAY not make any difference to West Lothian Council - but we may as well try, right?
