Hoffman Estates has NOW Arena, Cabrella, Bell Works and Sears headquarter (soon to be turned into some other commercial building). Yet it has very difficult to connect to Chicago downtown via public transportation. Many of the commuters can’t travel to Hoffman Estates area and Hoffman Estates residents can’t easily travel to Chicago downtown area. A travel to either direction will take close to 2 hours (Source: RTA trip planner). A simple express connection can help people transport back and forth to West side of Hoffman Estates. Without proper public transportation, Sears Headquarters (or its replacement) or Bell Works will fail. 

William D. McLeod should initiate plans to connect West Hoffman Estates to Chicago, ultimately making a better experience for commuters and helping to increase local economy.
