Students of Nursing 120 had their professor changed after the drop deadline, and therefore were never given a chance to drop out of the class. We believe it is an unfair situation that we were put in, and should be allowed to pass the class since a “W” was not available after Dr. Roces’ arrival. Dr. Roces is not a qualified professor to be teaching at a high caliber institution. She does not explain why certain answers are right and wrong and thinks we should already know it. It is unfair to place students in this situation and not find some compromise. We understand the West Coast University policy about failing classes, but we believe this situation was isolated and should be treated as such. We believe all students apart of this section should be able to retake this class or allow a passing grade for students who scored a 73 or above on their critical score.
